"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" Psalms 133:1
Jesus walked this earth with his band of misfits and we believe that strong Godly men need the support, wisdom, and fellowship of other strong Godly men to hold each other accountable. Our men's ministry, led by Jason Davis, Tony Holder, Kevin Douglas and Tommy Medler, strives to walk with each man in these crazy times when we need strong leadership more than ever!
The definition of "converge" is to come together from different points, to meet, to intersect. We are a women's ministry led by Courtney Stewart and Liz Medler, focused on building relationships with each other and forming bonds with strong christian women to strengthen our relationship with Christ.
We go by Kommotion because it is our goal to make an uproar in our schools and community for the name of Christ. Kommotion is for all students 7th-12th grades and is led by Tori Sanders, and a great crew of volunteers. Join us for Sunday School at 10:30am, and again on Wednesday nights for class at 6:00pm.
Here at Kennect City we love our kiddos! We have an awesome group of volunteers that lead our kids for Children’s Church (preschool-3rd grade) at 9:30 and 11:30am on Sundays, and K-Kidz on Wednesdays at 6:00pm. There are also classes for babies up to preschool with the world’s best volunteers! We also have a YouTube page with lessons during the week!
CR, led by Michelle Wirz, is for any kind of struggle in our lives. In fact, less than 1/3 of people who attend are actually struggling with substance abuse. The rest may come for anger issues, marriage difficulties, family members on drugs, overeating, control issues, grief, depression - any struggle that life brings. Do you have to be a Christian to attend? NO! Historically, 73% of those seeking help come from outside the church. Join us on Thursdays for a meal at 5:45pm, large group at 6:30pm, and small groups at 7:30pm.
We care about our community and we strongly believe that the need for outreach in OUR community is our first and foremost priority. We strive to be available to our local business and organizations for whatever their current needs are. Hosting dinners for local foster family groups, volunteering for a turkey/coat drive for local families, volunteering at the local food bank, neighborhood clean-ups... these are just some of the ways we try to give back to our community.
We are always looking for volunteers to get plugged in and serve! We consider each and every aspect of the church a ministry - below are some additional ministries to get involved in:
